The drinks menu

The house blend

Our coffee is a house blend, custom roasted for us by BentPenny Coffee Roasters in Ventura. It’s the only coffee we pour, so the drip, the Americano and every latte start from the same beans. Lattes come with whole, oat, almond or pistachio milk, and we make every syrup ourselves, down to a vanilla made from whole beans.

Take your cup to the window or out to the patio. The Santa Paula Airport runway and South Mountain are right there, and planes come and go while you drink it.

The matcha

Our matcha is a blend made just for The Flying Spoon, organic and ceremonial grade: deep green, with an earthy smell and a smooth, velvety body. It tastes rich and savory with a little natural sweetness, and finishes mellow, never bitter. It holds up to milk, so it makes a good latte hot or iced. Try it with pistachio milk, or a pump of our house vanilla.
